Delsym is a special controlled-release, liquid dextromethorphan
formula which calms the cough control centre and relieves coughing
for 12 hours per dose.
INDICATIONS
For temporary relief of cough due to minor throat and bronchial
irritation as may occur
with the common cold.
INGREDIENTS
Medicinal Ingredients: Each teaspoonful (5 mL) contains dextromethorphan
polistirex
equivalent to 30 mg dextromethorphan hydrobromide.
Nonmedicinal Ingredients: citric acid, corn syrup, EDTA,
ethylcellulose, FD&C yellow No.6, gum tragacanth, methylparaben,
orange flavour, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, propylene glycol,
propylparaben, sugar, vegetable oil, water, xanthan gum.
WARNING
As with all antitussives, do not use this product if cough persists
for more than one week, tends to recurr, or is accompanied by excessive
secretions or high fever; if patient is an asthmatic; or during
pregnancy, unless advised by a physician.
Keep out of reach of children. Do not take if you are currently
taking or have recently taken monoamine oxidase (MOA) inhibitor
drugs. Consult your physician.
